About Takara Designs

I’m Takara, a self-taught designer working in Chicago. I create jewelry, accessories, and clothing for women who enjoy wearing art in everyday life.

My work begins with shape, color, and movement. I cut and assemble materials such as lucite, recycled paper, PET felt, mesh, and fabric into pieces that feel playful, sculptural, and easy to make your own. Many designs move or can be styled in more than one way.

Takara Designs has grown from an accessory line into a wider studio practice. You’ll find expressive earrings and brooches alongside necklaces, scarves, and clothing. Each collection explores a new idea while keeping the bold forms and sense of joy that connect my work.

Designed and made in Chicago, these are pieces to wear, live with, and talk about.
